Phormium tenax ‘Purpurea’
Seedling form of P. tenax, so there is some attractive colour variation between plants. Colours may range from a dusky yellow-purple to a deep red-purple; provides excellent landscaping effects when planted with lighter contrasting colours. Forms a strong clump with age. Generally smaller in stature than true P. tenax, but just as hardy.
