Silky Hayauchi Pole Saw

Extendable Pole Saw - 6.3m
A true professional heavy-duty aluminium pole saw – the pole saw of choice by professionals. The Hayauchi pole saw has rigid aluminium poles that quickly extend to the desired cutting length. The base pole has a comfortable rubber grip.
The 390mm blade not only sports the largest teeth available in a razor tooth design but also has a sharpened base and tip for scoring the branch, to avoid ripping damage to the branch collar. The upper sickle is used to cut vines; the lower one – to undercut bark allowing a clean cut without damaging the tree.
The aluminium alloy extension pole is oval-shaped, giving precise control to the direction of the saw blade (especially important for high cutting) and also giving strength and rigidity to the pole, reducing bending to the minimum.  This is the finest telescoping pole saw available on the market today.

Silky saws cut as you pull the blade towards you. They do not cut on the forward or push stroke. Cutting on the pull stroke requires less energy and gives you more control over the action of the saw. The Japanese have always used the ‘pull saw’ technology as opposed to the Western ‘Push Saws’.  The advantages are:

    • Pulling places the saw under tension making it stronger
    • Pushing compresses the blade meaning you can bend, buckle and possibly break the blade when cutting
    • Pulling naturally straightens the cut as you pull towards the body
    • Pull saws can be thinner steel, so as a result can make a cleaner line of cut

How does shipping work?

Freight is calculated automatically at checkout for smaller orders. For bulkier consignments, we’ll be back in touch to confirm a freight price. See our Shipping Information for more details.

North Island Customers: Shipping costs can be significant (and sometimes exceed the plant value), so combining items into a larger order helps keep it cost-effective.
