A large, fast-growing, round-headed tree with large palmate leaves and an attractive light brown mottled trunk. One of the world’s most popular street trees, tolerant of compacted soils, heat and air pollution. Plane trees are the traditional tree for pollarding to create a compact ‘lollipop’ look. Deciduous. Hardy.
