Griselinia littoralis
Versatile NZ native and one of the most popular hedging shrubs, known for its large, glossy green leaves and dense growth habit. Left untrimmed, it becomes a round-headed tree that can reach upwards of 10m in sheltered locations. In any case, it provides excellent shelter and aesthetic appeal in hedgerows and home gardens alike. Bears small, inconspicuous flowers followed by colorful berries that are attractive to birds. Hardy; tolerant of drought and coastal conditions.
