Dicksonia squarrosa
A relatively hardy and fast-growing tree fern common in the New Zealand bush. Grows a slender black ‘trunk’ with a tidy set of fronds growing from the top that die off as the fern grows taller. Requires a shady, moist, and sheltered position protected from strong afternoon sun and wind. Low maintenance.
