Strongly upright conifer, well-suited for untrimmed shelter or timber on dry exposed sites. Deep, light, free-draining soil preferred. Good tolerance to cypress canker. Fine foliage. Great substitute for leyland shelter where trimming is not possible. Evergreen. Cold hardy.
