Cupressus arizonica ‘Blue Ice’

Cupressus arizonica var. glabra ‘Blue Ice’ is a compact, conical selection of Arizona cypress with exceptionally attractive, frosty, silver-Blue foliage. This stunning tree adds contrast in colour, texture and that familiar Christmas tree form to the garden.

This cultivar is Kiwi bred, originating as a seedling selected in 1960 by Duncan & Davies Nursery, New Plymouth, who subsequently introduced it to the nursery trade in 1984.

‘Blue Ice’ will become a substantial tree over time. It is extremely tolerant of hot sun, drought and exposure making it a good choice for a low maintenance garden.
