Kakaha / Bush Flax

The most common Astelia species seen growing in scrub and forests throughout New Zealand. Has attractive broad-green leaves and scented spring flowers. Orange berries on female plants attract birds. Best in sheltered semi-shade. Prefers good drainage. Evergreen.
