A heritage dessert apple originally from Essex in the 1940s. Attractive looking medium, flat-round fruit. Bright scarlet flush over a pale greenish yellow skin speckled with small russet dots. Creamy white flesh often stained pink under the skin.
Crisp and juicy with a very pleasant, sweet, slightly tangy flavour. Partial tip bearer. Hardy. Ripens February.
Grafted onto a M793 Rootstock.
M793 is a larger growing rootstock with vigorous growth characteristics. Better suited to heavier soils.
