Trojan Fir
A tall pyramidal tree, endangered in the wild. Forms an elegant conical spire of tiered limbs sweeping downwards, with deep, glossy-green foliage banded white underneath. The most admired of all firs. With age, the tree has smooth, grey checkered bark. Female cones are a rich purple-brown and 13cm long at maturity. Evergreen. Hardy
