Southern Woods - The Concept

Southern Woods is a "one stop shop" for the rural tree-planter. Over 500 species of trees are available for shelter, forestry, native revegetation, edible tree crops, animal fodder, specimen trees and hedging for around the house. We also supply all the accessories and advice you may need to successfully realise your tree planting ambitions.

Our commitment to quality and service is second to none. Professionally trained staff grow, pack and dispatch your trees to the highest industry standards, and provide you with a wealth of free information to plan and implement your planting.

Southern Woods trees are grown in containers, or in "the open" i.e. you get them "bare rooted". On average, container trees have higher survival rates, faster early growth, can be planted over a wide season, suffer less transplant shock and are more suitable for drought-prone sites than open ground trees. Open ground trees offer advantages in reduced bulk to transport, and often a reduced price.

You can choose from a number of different tree sizes dependant on your purpose, site and budget.

The Southern Woods Pledge

We undertake to provide you with the very best advice, service and trees. In the event your trees are not performing due to the quality of the trees supplied by us, we will replace them.
